007 Things Acquired - [video;]
[Hey, look.
Greed is on video again. Twice in the same month. This is some sort of record for him. Unfortunately, by his panicked face, this is probably one of those times where he's not thinking clearly (not that this is anything new, mind you) considering he's obviously in a PokeCenter at the moment, and by the angle he's at, he's halfway between sitting on the floor and crouching.]
Can... can someone tell me what the hell is going on? This isn't some normal storm.
[At least he's not outright freaking out. If he was, he'd probably be breaking things. As it is, it looks like he can't settle down instead of him needing to resort to violence.
That's something.]
I've seen bad storms, but this is something else entirely.
[Suddenly, he looks up, away from the 'Gear blinking and almost smiling.]
Was... was that a shark? I think a shark just flew past the window.
...I'm going to go look outside.
[No, Greed. This is a terrible idea.
Someone must agree, because off camera there's an irritated, "Mr. Greed, sit down," before the video cuts out.]

[She HAD been planning to stay inside (and dry)...]
You should definitely investigate to make certain.
[Do it for the Vine, Greed.]no subject
I wonder where they all came from?
Maybe they're powering the storm.
no subject
[Sense for Johto, anyway.][Make a giant storm and trash the country? She'd probably do the same if she were a giant elemental shark-thing.]
So you're going to try catching one of them, right?
[Cause why the hell not, it seems to be the default reaction to anything here. Catch the monster doing the thing. And this way she gets to see someone else try before she makes her own attempt.]
no subject
Hell, one of the only reasons he hasn't defaulted to "wreck everything" already is his small collection of protag friends who wouldn't be too happy with him, but he has other people who would probably find it hilarious.]
Oh, I've got one. But I think I'm going to get another!
[Because he can't stop at just one, can he?]
[There's a sudden roar, Greed spins around, curses, and drops the 'Gear without warning. Nui will get a nice long view of the rain against the camera, occasional shots of lightning and once in a while a shark will go flying through the sky.
...twenty minutes later...]
Ouuch...
Fuck, that hurt.
no subject
[Sounding way, way too amused at Greed taking a shark to the face.]
[And once he comes back...]
Ha! I'm impressed.
[Which seems to be genuine, for once.]
Not many humans could get up that quickly from that. ...So did you catch it?
no subject
No. Looks like it flopped away. Or flew off.
Dammit.
[He wanted that shark.]
Just my luck.
[It doesn't strike him as odd that he's more upset about losing the shark than he is about being knocked unconscious for twenty minutes.]
no subject
[Well, that's a minor hit on her enthusiasm, but not a lot. She still got to
sort ofsee a guy hit with a flying shark.]At least it didn't decide to eat you.
[They look big enough to prey on people from what she can tell, anyway.]
Maybe you should keep an electric Pokémon ready in case that happens again.
[A suggestion which is in no way meant to see if one can have an electric type out in this weather without getting electrocuted.]
no subject
What a time for Greed to actually become socially aware of anything.]
Good thing, huh? No shark's eating me just yet.
But I bet you'd have thought that was funny if it did happen.
[He doesn't sound bothered in the least. If anything, he's amused.]
In this weather? Ha! That seems a good way to stop a heart, doesn't it?
[So he's smart enough to know that electric Pokemon + rain is a bad idea, but still decided to run around during a hurricane.]
no subject
[She would submit the footage to some type of 'Funniest Videos' broadcast if she could.]
A grass monster, then?
no subject
[Maybe not the best thing to admit in public, but we've already established thinking goes out the window when flying sharks are involved.]
I don't have any of those, either.
...hm. I might just have to go without any critters out here. Might be for the best.
no subject
Oh? You're that confident you can handle another of those sharks barehanded, then?
no subject
He does know a guy who might go for it, though... too bad he only shows up here twice a year.]
I've always relied on my fists for combat.
[His tone is almost dripping with smug.
Despite the fact that he got hit in the face with a shark.]
