[This is most likely stupid, but he doesn't see any other option.
Maybe they'll be safe for another day, maybe not. It's better to take care of this now, so as soon as he gets the opportunity after the trial, he approaches Kimbley, jerking his head in the general direction of the rooms they're "sleeping" in.]
I need to speak with you. Alone. If you don't mind.
[Like with everything else, it sounds like it's just a suggestion. Like he won't even really protest if Kimbley refuses.]

At the same time, it's a suggestion, not a demand; if it'd been a demand he would have just gotten contrary, but as it stands it's...interesting, and he's never really known what's good for him anyway when it comes to interesting things, now, has he.]
I don't mind.
[Let's...go, then.]

Greed isn't the sort of person to default to silence; silence makes him nervous. But talking loudly isn't something he's going to do. He's out of his element here, they both are.
He might not trust Kimbley at all, but Kimbley being here is better than being alone without anyone he knows.
He shuts the door to his room, but he doesn't sit.]
I thought he was right, you know. Yomiel.
I'll give the Communists that much: she was the most vocal about her violent tendencies. She was an excellent scapegoat.

And if it were me, I'd go after him next.
[He doesn't sound too bothered by that prospect, though.]
He gets ideas and he talks about them. More importantly, his ideas make sense - he can turn the group, easy. And did you see what people were doing afterwards? Telling him it's not his fault? He got me telling him it wasn't his fault.
[He brings one of his hands up idly, cracking his wrist softly as he speaks.]
He's going to be next against the wall.

I wouldn't be surprised. It's a pretty big gamble to make and end up wrong, isn't it?
[He stretches lazily, cracking his knuckles as he does.]
If he's like her, it's going to be eleven to six. Those odds make things interesting don't they?
[He chuckles, low and dark.]
no subject
["Interesting" is one word for it, isn't it.]
Though I think I might have made someone a little upset with me, judging by the vote.
no subject
[Or maybe he won't. It's not Greed's problem either way.]
You made quite an impression on her, didn't you? You think it was the "obtuse" comment? [Because that had been kind of funny.]
no subject
It might've been. She's an interesting one.
no subject
There are plenty of interesting people here. If I didn't think of them all as my enemies, they might be more fascinating.
[It's not what he actually wants to say, but it'll do.]
no subject
He averts his gaze after a moment; he doesn't seem to know what to do with his face.]
What do you want, Greed?
no subject
[He folds his arms across his chest not looking at Kimbley.]
I'm going to make a request of you, and you can take it or leave it. In the end, it doesn't matter. I've never been interested in controlling you.
no subject
[And that's...strange, a bit too stiff for his liking, but fixing it isn't really going to be a thing, either.]
no subject
If you get out of this alive, I want you to tell that man in the military who recruited you something: nothing is what it seems. The Fuhrer isn't the puppetmaster, he's the puppet.
no subject
[It's that sort of strange, mechanical acceptance that comes with expecting literally anything but that; it takes him a second to shake it off, though he still seems more than a little unsure of how he should take that.]
Why tell me this now?
no subject
What happened in Amestris was my fault; I got cocky. Being here has reminded me of just how much I hate being controlled.
I didn't let that hag in the mansion control me, and I'm not about to let this 'computer' do it either.
no subject
[It's abrupt, but it's measured; there's...some thought going into this, at least, but it's not certain.]
What we need is people like Yomiel and maybe that guy Knightley to logic it out, and maybe Knightley'll bring his friend, and then there's you and me and those kids that've been sleeping in my room. That's seven.
Seven is enough to change people's minds.
We can get rid of the problem people, maybe hit a few communists on the way. If we fuck up, we'll all get what we deserve, but at least we went out fighting.
no subject
It's a good plan. Seven would give us the advantage, but there is the problem that we can't trust any of them. I can't even trust you.
You could be lying to my face right now, you know.
I'm going to need some assurance from you before I consider it.

Hell, maybe if we win you can ask Friend Computer out there for a clone or seven so you can see it in person.
But if that's what you want? You've got it. I swear to you.
no subject
Keep talking like that and I might even believe you.
