005 Things Acquired - [anon text; private text]
Tuesday, 10 June 2014 05:51 pmHypothetically speaking, how does a person deal with information that completely changes his entire understanding of the world? I'm not much of a philosopher myself so this question is looking for a more straightforward answer. I don't expect an easy solution and like I said, it's only a hypothetical.
People go through their lives expecting the world to operate on a certain set of rules, but when those rules suddenly stop working a person is sent into a crisis. Or he can be at any rate. Such a thing won't completely destroy the man, naturally. He's stronger than that. But it does leave him shaken and feeling a bit uncertain about particular things.
But the revelation nevertheless leaves him suddenly questioning his own identity.
So I ask: what would you do if you do anything at all?
[About thirty minutes later he sends another message, this time locked to Lust and not anonymous.]
If you have a moment can you get back to me? I found out something during that odd weekend and you're the only person who I can talk to about it.
