So here's a question for all of you. What's the furthest you've been from home? Before coming here, I mean. This place doesn't count. I want to know how far people have traveled before coming here.

The name of the place you're from, the name of the place you like going. What your favorite city is called. Things like that.

I've always liked traveling. But I used to spend years in one place, even so. Always found myself drawn back to where I was born. It's one of those interesting things about people. I don't exactly miss the place, but I do find myself thinking about it sometimes. What it would be like if we could go back with memories of this place instead of forgetting everything.

So there's a second part of my question, I guess.

Say you go home, but you remember everything from here. What would you do with that information?

What if you arrived home at a time before the last thing you remember?

Yeah. I suppose there is.

[There are still the wars that he instigated, the civilizations that he helped collapse, but that hadn't been something he'd done out of joy or because he enjoys seeing people suffer.

It had been a means to an end, and he had been a tool back then, not his own person.

It's only now and here that he's started to take things into account. It's not like he particularly cares about the lives of strangers, but he wouldn't deliberately do anything to harm people, or do something where people could get hurt or killed. Not now.]

I think on my feet. It's how I am.

It's strange. So much of this is the fault of one person. Had he never been there in the first place, none of this would have happened. But I don't regret saving his life in the first place.

Maybe that means I'm too quick to trust people.

You can't exactly say things like there are human civilizations in the heavens and then mention a war offhand like that. It's not exactly fair.

Creepy castle? When did that happen?

There are human civilizations around two different planets, and they're currently at war in my world. What more is there to say about that?

[Other than about two hundred years' worth of history lessons and government coverups, that is.]

Last year, in October. People woke up in creepy castle with no Pokémon, no way to contact the outside world, and wonderful activities such as Dodge the Fog Monsters waiting for them. ...I think. The memories get a bit fuzzy if I think about them too much.

I was roughly halfway across the world before I got here, which is about as far away as you can get from my home in London, I suppose. I didn't like it much, really --- it's called Japan, and it's effectively this place but... ugh.

Well, I'd only been to one city; perhaps if I'd been visiting a city that resembled Ecruteak, I'd be a bit more enchanted. Fuyuki is boringly consumerist, though --- I'm sure it has things of historical and value, but they're drowned out by everything else.

...anyway, who wouldn't take advantage of their memories of this place?

There was the time I got sent to Drachma, I think that's the farthest I went. Certainly wasn't my favorite place.

Thinking about changing things?

Well, telling me what year it is for you is a good start because where I'm from the only thing people have that can go into the sky are balloons. Colonies in the heavens aren't something I can conceive of.

I don't think they're that common, no. Illegal experimentation tends to be rather frowned on.

I imagine not being able to fly would be difficult.

I had a few problems when I first came here myself. Some of them were rather mundane, though, like not being able to see in the dark as well as I used to. I've always looked human, though. I imagine it's much worse for someone who doesn't.

It was AG 164 right before I was brought here, and I'd bet three pokéballs you don't even recognize the dating system. Balloons in the sky were new to us of years ago.

Believe me, I've been crossing my fingers for that every day since then.

I've never been to Drachma. Hear it's cold up there.

The funny thing about that is when Lust and I get back to Johto, we were thinking of getting a place in Goldenrod. Here I am asking about traveling the world when I'm going to stay put for a while again.

You're right, that dating system doesn't mean anything to me.

With everything that people have told me, it seems that October is an unlucky month.

Seeing in the dark sounds pretty useful, especially since there are also nocturnal pokemon. What were you before, if you don't mind me asking? It's interesting to see how many kinds we can get here.

What's London like? You said that the place you were mostly resembles this place. Where I'm from the architecture and the like is quite different.

I think it depends on what those memories are, and what sort of place you're returning to, really.

The word for it is homunculus, but I wouldn't be surprised if you're unfamiliar with the term. It seems exclusive to my world.

How do you mean? That one event kicked off the rest of the chain, somehow?

Definitely unfamiliar, but I'm not surprised either. After hearing that dragons aren't crawling over every world and that they become humans here, it got hard to be surprised pretty fast.

I wouldn't want to go there as a human, I'll put it that way. And there was NOTHING to do. It turned out I couldn't even do anything about why I was sent there.

The farthest I've traveled was to a completely different continent. Not by my choice though.

... And I don't know what I'd do if I returned home, whether at the time I left it or before. I wouldn't be the person I am today if I went around changing events.

It's a fairly nice place --- very old, very historic. I'll admit, that gives it several points in its favor in my book.

Now, in terms of architecture... well, it changes fairly often depending on the era and what's in fashion. It'd likely be more similar to what you're familiar with, if my impression of Amestris is correct.

Well, for me... simply knowing I'd accomplished Second Magic on some level and found a strange new world to study would be a nice addition to my resume. I can't complain about that on any level.

He couldn't have known that. I didn't tell any of them that much. What he started was bigger than the both of us, and it didn't even really start with him stabbing me in the back, either.

There was an incident I was involved with. He was, too. If the truth about that incident got out, it would caused the master a big headache.

It took me a bit to adjust, but I've been here a few months at this point and I honestly don't think anyone's world could surprise me.

Confuse me, sure, there's a lot out there I don't know about. Mostly I find the different worlds out there interesting.

I caught her a Sharpedo, and we were both talking about how keeping Pokemon in a computer is rather cruel. So we're going to get a house with a pool for the sharks because I don't think the hotel will let us.

The farthest I've been was out east. You go out far enough and there's no countries, only vaguely related ethnic tribes.

Ah, well... It's basically the equivalent of going half-way around the world.

My hometown is located in the far north of my world. My location at the time I arrived here was in the far south. That is about as far away from home as I could've gotten. The location I was at wasn't very pleasant, and I would much rather have been back home. However, I haven't been able to properly live in my hometown in decades.

As for your second question, I wouldn't benefit very much from retaining the knowledge of my time here. I wouldn't benefit from returning to my world in general, to be honest. Circumstances were...difficult, even at an earlier point in time.
