001 Thing Acquired - [video; actions]
Video
[When the feed clicks on, it's shaking slightly, and a man with strange eyes is staring at it from under his sunglasses like he's half-expecting it to explode.]
So this thing is visible to anyone who is connected, huh?
[Someone says something just off camera and he smirks.]
In that case, I just have one question.
Are there any bars in New Bark Town?
[Priorities.]
Action- New Bark Town
[And get an immediate answer or not, Geed is going to wander the town with the strange cat thing following close by. This feels much closer to the freedom he had been searching for in the first place, even if there is a nagging sensation in the back of his mind that something is extremely off.
Really, he can't be worried. He's escaped the bitch as far as he's concerned so he's going to be stopping every single person he runs into to ask about the town hoping he can learn something useful because he sure as hell can't blend in. He might as well stick out in the most obnoxious way possible.
At least it'll get him noticed.]

wow hi html errors |:
Then take it as a heads up if someone ever happens to threat you about it.
[Or something. What is logic in this place?]
damn it html :|
[Pokemon battles sound so boring, though.]

Yeah, there are these pretty police ladies, who have zero tolerance for violence. I've heard people got into jail after a barfight or something... So they won't just frown upon the fight, you might want to run away if they see you having a serious fight with someone. And I definitely have to avoid throwing a wrench at a stupid alchemist whenever they can see.
no subject
That so? Can't say I've run into many stupid alchemists.
[Except Kimbley.]
no subject
Well... he's not... exactly stupid, I mean he's very smart but he doesn't need to hear that too often, for now. [genius, actually, but let's leave that part out.] ...but I just call him stupid, because he is a dummy sometimes.
[Never underestimate the complicated mind of a girl in love!]
no subject
I take it he gets in trouble often. Or puts himself in danger. Or both.
[If there's one thing Greed understands, it's relationships with people. It's a much better topic than picking fights.]
I'm sure he means well.
no subject
Both, and he also breaks things often. ...But I guess Ed means well.
[There. Let's test if you know that short name and let's also ignore the little red on her cheeks.]
no subject
You... you mean Edward Elric?
no subject
Yeah. ...Does that mean you know Ed?
no subject
[And compared to his reaction to Kimblee's name, he sounds surprisingly respectful.]
no subject
I take that as a good thing, then.
no subject
You could say that. He's a good kid.
no subject
Of course he is. [Usually. Mostly, maybe.] Anyway, I guess I'd call you friends where I'm from, and your reaction seems really different from Envy's on hearing the name, so -- so it's all good.
[More like 'so it's not like he has more reasons to yell at me for talking with another homunculus'
who he himself dragged to her home, mind you, but she's going to leave that part out.]no subject
I could tell you why Envy's reaction was different, but then he'd be even more unhappy with me than he already is.
[Now that's interesting, hearing that he and Elric had been friends. This other Greed certainly sounds like an interesting guy.]
But Ed's not here, right? So thankfully we can avoid the ugly details.
no subject
You can save me from the details, things might get less complicated that way.
[The less details on some things, the better. It's not like good guys from the military like Envy at all either, so uh... Or most people who she has met.]
Nope, He's not here. He comes and goes, and then he appears again and then he goea away again. [Shrug, it's like back in Amestris.] Then he also usually forgets that he's ever been here before -- it happens with everyone, though sometimes people remember being here before. I did, when I came back, but that's pretty rare.
[and shrug again. yes, let's save everyone from details and uh, you might be from that other Amestris anyway. Details? A lot more complicated than they'd be with just one Amestris around.
...oookay, enough about Ed. Too much about him maybe.]
So anyway! If you want to get to bigger cities faster, I could send you some help.
no subject
Well, except once upon a time when he had been a man who was about to be married, and who nearly had a son, and...
No. He's not thinking about that. Not here, not now. He's not letting that bitterness show up on his face.]
Let me know when he shows up, right? And I'll give him hell for making his girl worry.
[He's a homunculus so that could actually be something of a very credible threat if it weren't for the fact that he's consciously trying to look non-threatening as he speaks.]
Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll be fine.
I've been idle long enough as it is; I don't mind walking. That, and the book says that there are Pokemon you can ride. I'll find one that can and then train it up so I can.
Seems reasonable enough to me.
[And he talks like this is the easiest thing in the world to him even though he's completely out of his comfort zone.]

['...s arrival anyway.' because it's Ed and he is usually not quiet. Except when he is, and secretly just shows up if he's mature enough to not yell about alchemy not working and stuff to the network right after his arrival.
But forget that, she's going all red and flailing a bit. ...Goddammit, Winry, will you ever get used to that?]
HE'S NOT ... We're not ... I ---- uh... [Winry, please.]

She's going to just sigh, act like nothing like that red face and other stuff ever happened.]
Walking is not so bad either, at least at first. But yes, there are quite many of those, that you can ride on. Like this -- [and she turns her gear to show her Arcanine, who is just chilling there in the background mostly.] -- Arcanine. They are little puppies called Growlithe at first, need a lot of training but then they can become a fast giant like him. But that's just one, fiercely loyal, option.
The offer is always open though, if you ever need to get anywhere fast.
no subject
He wants one.]
I was thinking of getting one of those.... what are they called again?
Rapid Dash? Something like that? The horse that's on fire. I mean, I'd be getting the baby form first so I couldn't ride it, but that's what I was thinking of.
no subject
Rapidash! They're great, and even faster runners than my dog there... I think. It's pretty easy to grow one from a pony to a horse, when you just keep training it for a few weeks. So a good plan, I'd say.
no subject
[He looks oddly nostalgic about it.
And that's probably revealing way too much because, you know, homunculus.]
.... sobbing at the first line of this. Winry please
Umm, why a long time ago? I mean, sure I guess I see them more often than most people in Amestris because I'm from Resembool, but -- if you miss it [that much?!?] then couldn't you have, you know, get a horse and ride it?
[Sorry to say, she doesn't get your logic at all right now!]
no subject
The last time I road a horse was 300 years ago, or so. Could have been a bit longer.
World's changed a lot since then. People prefer cars to horses now.
[Greed.]
no subject
... umm... ]
That sure was a long time ago, but I guess it's not something you'd easily forget. [You still know how to ride, right? Or it will come back to you if you don't, probably, since he's learned it once.]
Well, you'd just need to go to places where they don't prefer cars to horses. It's really noisy in the big cities.
[No, it's okay. Being what most would probably call a country girl from Resembool and all that? Cars, pfffffft! She'd choose animal rides any day. She still thinks trains are uncomfortable in Amestris and she's not used to cars all that much.]
