001 Thing Acquired - [video; actions]
Video
[When the feed clicks on, it's shaking slightly, and a man with strange eyes is staring at it from under his sunglasses like he's half-expecting it to explode.]
So this thing is visible to anyone who is connected, huh?
[Someone says something just off camera and he smirks.]
In that case, I just have one question.
Are there any bars in New Bark Town?
[Priorities.]
Action- New Bark Town
[And get an immediate answer or not, Geed is going to wander the town with the strange cat thing following close by. This feels much closer to the freedom he had been searching for in the first place, even if there is a nagging sensation in the back of his mind that something is extremely off.
Really, he can't be worried. He's escaped the bitch as far as he's concerned so he's going to be stopping every single person he runs into to ask about the town hoping he can learn something useful because he sure as hell can't blend in. He might as well stick out in the most obnoxious way possible.
At least it'll get him noticed.]

[Instead, he gets a video feed of frantic, excited barking; the entire video screen is taken up by the face of what looks like some sort of hellish doberman. BARK BARK BARK oh wow it's you it's been so long I can't believe it this is so exciting.]
[The dog is wearing a pair of sunglasses.]
It's kind of a cool looking dog, but...
huh. That's interesting. And the dog is wearing a pair of sunglasses that Greed would pick out himself which is even weirder.
Not like you can really hold a conversation with a dog so he stares blankly.]
This is a weird place. I didn't expect people to let their pets answer phones.
[...so of course his immediate response is to be flippant.]
Lucky! What the hell are you barking at?
[Envy's annoyed, as most people would be if their giant dog started flipping out for no good reason. He'd just left the 'Gear out on the hotel bed for five minutes, and someone else's cat or squirrel or something was probably on the screen. He reaches to snag the device out from under Lucky's nose, and the Houndoom starts whining instead, circling around him.]
Oh come on, what could possibly--
[video 2/3]
[Oh.]
[Greed will actually get to see Envy speechless with surprise for a good long moment. He looks a little different than Greed would remember; he's still pale, but not nearly so much, and his eyes have human pupils even if they're the same violet color. The headband is still there, but he's actually wearing a normal shirt.]
So, finally decided to show up, did you?
[His mind is racing in five different directions at once. Does Greed remember being here? Hell, it's probably the other version of Greed entirely, not that Envy would know since he's never met Other Greed. By now he's just about given up on people from his own Amestris showing up. He has to figure out where he stands with this one. He reassures himself that he has the advantage here, if Greed doesn't remember. He knows how this world works and he knows how to deal with being human. He's got this.]

he's feeling generous to the new people today and he might as well give this tip asap because he remembers the horror]
I haven't been to New Bark Town in ages, so I can't say anything about the bars there... but I will say that there's one that you should absolutely avoid at all costs: the one in Azalea.
Oh? And why would that be?
[Because when someone tells him "Greed, don't do this" it means that he absolutely needs to go do exactly what he was told not to immediately.]
[...because with a guy that looks like that, he feels like this is an important distinction to make]
Unless you find the weakest spirits in Johto to be entertaining, but then I'd assumed you'd be just as easily amused watching grass grow.

How old is this kid? His smile vanishes immediately and he straightens up slightly, trying not to look so threatening. ]
Didn't your mother ever tell you it's not polite to stare?
[His tone isn't threatening. It's not gentle, exactly, but it's patient.]

[A bar? Pft. Wow. Get a load of this guy.]
[Ok, so how do you answer people on this thing...?]
[... OH RIGHT. Boop.]
Who are you?
[Sonic is so good with manners. But cut him the slack, he's still new and trying to figure all this human junk out. He needs friends.]

Name's Greed.

OR COULD HE?]
Pff, nice name.
[He smirks.]
Name's Sonic. Fastest thing alive.

littledetails. One day.] And you probably won't find one there, no -- well, unless there's some kind of a bar on that ferry.[Someone trying to find a bar as soon as they arrive? That's new.]
Right, the ferry to Kanto?
I think I'll hang around here for now.
I know this is a small town but it seems strange that there wouldn't even be one bar. Hell, Dublith had quite a few.

Ah, I don't suppose you like vodka...? I don't think there's any bars in New Bark, it's a very small town, but I do have some on hand.

Gin, rum, vodka... it's all good.
I'm not picky.

[It's not a face Scar has seen before, but he's going to confront it all the same. No, he doesn't give a damn about finding a bar.
Just about the fact that an unfamiliar homunculus has just popped up on his PokéGear screen. Scar isn't willing to go to video, though, not when he knows that his face was plastered on posters all over Amestris for the better part of a year.]
Who are you?
[He wants to know if you were part of the little party stalking him in Liore, but not yet. Again, the whole 'outing himself' thing.]

I take it you recognize me.
The name's Greed.

[As such, she's looking a little worn-out when she responds to this video.]
Considering New Bark is basically just a glorified gated community, I'm pretty sure you've already figured out the answer to that question is no.
The bigger towns have bars in 'em, though.
[You just had to know where to look.]
Is the next town over one of those bigger towns?
[Because he'll find the bars! And then learn interesting things about the human body that he didn't have to worry about before.]
