[Someone says something just off camera and he smirks.]

[And get an immediate answer or not, Geed is going to wander the town with the strange cat thing following close by. This feels much closer to the freedom he had been searching for in the first place, even if there is a nagging sensation in the back of his mind that something is extremely off.

Really, he can't be worried. He's escaped the bitch as far as he's concerned so he's going to be stopping every single person he runs into to ask about the town hoping he can learn something useful because he sure as hell can't blend in. He might as well stick out in the most obnoxious way possible.

[Instead, he gets a video feed of frantic, excited barking; the entire video screen is taken up by the face of what looks like some sort of hellish doberman. BARK BARK BARK oh wow it's you it's been so long I can't believe it this is so exciting.]

[It's not long before there's an actual human voice coming from somewhere offscreen, shouting over the barking. It's a voice that Greed will probably find very familiar.]

Lucky! What the hell are you barking at?

[Envy's annoyed, as most people would be if their giant dog started flipping out for no good reason. He'd just left the 'Gear out on the hotel bed for five minutes, and someone else's cat or squirrel or something was probably on the screen. He reaches to snag the device out from under Lucky's nose, and the Houndoom starts whining instead, circling around him.]

Oh come on, what could possibly--

[And that's when Envy actually looks at what's on the screen.]

[Oh.]

[Greed will actually get to see Envy speechless with surprise for a good long moment. He looks a little different than Greed would remember; he's still pale, but not nearly so much, and his eyes have human pupils even if they're the same violet color. The headband is still there, but he's actually wearing a normal shirt.]

[But, as always, Envy's quick to regain his composure. He puts on an arrogant smirk, because that's always the easiest face to hide behind when he's still trying to get his mental footing.]

So, finally decided to show up, did you?

[His mind is racing in five different directions at once. Does Greed remember being here? Hell, it's probably the other version of Greed entirely, not that Envy would know since he's never met Other Greed. By now he's just about given up on people from his own Amestris showing up. He has to figure out where he stands with this one. He reassures himself that he has the advantage here, if Greed doesn't remember. He knows how this world works and he knows how to deal with being human. He's got this.]

If you don't stop at Cherrygrove, I think it's about... nine days from New Bark Town on foot? It took me a little longer because I didn't leave the first little town until it started to get dark out.

I haven't been to New Bark Town in ages, so I can't say anything about the bars there... but I will say that there's one that you should absolutely avoid at all costs: the one in Azalea.
