006 Things Acquired - [video;]

[Oh, look. It's Greed on video. This is something of a rarity.

He's obviously outside and on one of the routes at the moment, looking annoyed more than anything else.]

You know, I thought I had this place reasonably figured out. Got a decent grasp on battling, don't really mind living out of a hotel room, and since it's summer, traveling between cities is actually not that bad.

That being said, what the hell is this?

[The camera shifts off of Greed and onto a bug-type that looks like a wheel.]

Cedric used to be a beetle. Why--

What the hell is he supposed to be? Can he even battle like this?!

How the hell does a beetle even change shape to begin with! It's the final stage of a metamorphosis so why the hell did he go and turn into that thing?

[And since he's facing the camera, he completely misses the Whirlipede rolling its eyes at him.]

Well, that might explain the wheel thing, right? Pill bugs resemble wheels a bit when they roll up.

That's a pretty good defense, right, Cedric?

[And that actually gets a response: a happy little whirrr noise from the giant wheel-beetle.]

His final evolution is pretty cute, too.

[That earns a smile.] They really are. Especially when they roll up into balls. My mother doesn't like me playing with them, though. She says they're filthy.

I bet she'd change her mind if she saw what they look like here.

Well, except for Beedrill, maybe.

She thinks they are because they're in the dirt.

Hmm...I don't know, I think she'd be afraid of them.

Well, they're not dirty, right?

You could show her one like Caterpie.

I know she definitely wouldn't like those slimy ones! I think they're called Bloobers.

Bloobers, huh? Can't say I've heard of them.

[Then again, he's still new to all of this and honestly doesn't know about most Pokemon.]

You said they're slimy. What do they look like?

Um...kind of like....[She blushes.] B-Boogers....

[Ib, you are the cutest.

He isn't normally the sort to get attached to kids except when he is, but she's certainly won him over.]

[He laughs, just slightly. All things considered, it's a pleasant laugh.]

Guess that might make some people squeamish.

Definitely. There was a boy in my class who would pick his nose. He was gross.

How gross. Did you ever tell him to stop?

Oh! N-No, he was too gross....

I'm sure someone will tell him he's being gross and then he'll stop!

I hope so...he didn't listen to the teacher at all.

Maybe one of his friends will tell him and he'll listen. Instead of telling him they thought it was cool.
