[Oh, look. It's Greed on video. This is something of a rarity.

He's obviously outside and on one of the routes at the moment, looking annoyed more than anything else.]

You know, I thought I had this place reasonably figured out. Got a decent grasp on battling, don't really mind living out of a hotel room, and since it's summer, traveling between cities is actually not that bad.

That being said, what the hell is this?

[The camera shifts off of Greed and onto a bug-type that looks like a wheel.]

Cedric used to be a beetle. Why--

What the hell is he supposed to be? Can he even battle like this?!

How the hell does a beetle even change shape to begin with! It's the final stage of a metamorphosis so why the hell did he go and turn into that thing?

[And since he's facing the camera, he completely misses the Whirlipede rolling its eyes at him.]

...I'm not sure how I'm going to feed him at all.

[He'll leave out Pokemon food and hope for the best, obviously.]

I don't understand most of these critters anyway.

Ha, you think he's bad? There are Pokémon out there shaped like trash bags and ice cream cones.

[In other words, yeah, it's tough understanding a lot of them. He gets it.]

[...Give him a moment to process this information.

They really like sticking it to nature here, don't they?

Oh yeah. And that's exactly why we've got endless music and those stupid ledges.

[It's said with a dry tone and a wry smile. Yeah, nature's kinda been shoved to the side as far as Riku's concerned.]

The music could always be worse. At least it's usually happy. It could be irritating and screechy.

[He doesn't even notice it anymore, usually. Though he does tend to hum along without noticing.

Thankfully, he only does that when he's not doing anything else so that's one habit that's going to remain unknown for now.]

You should've been here the first Halloween.

[He shivers at the memory. That day will live on in infamy, for a multitude of reasons, but the eerie tune was one of them.]

Back then, this creepy, backwards tune kept playing everywhere nonstop. Even in battles.

[Oh. Creepy.

At least he can mostly tune out the music here.]

...Just the once? It hasn't repeated since then, right? So obviously it was just a one time thing.

[Greed don't jinx it.]

Well, some of it came back later. The MISSINGNO., anyway.

[He pauses, only to realize that probably sounded like gibberish.]

Think big blobs of static and squares.

MISSINGNO, huh?

[That sure sounds like some sort of bogeyman.]

Sounds like some kind of freaky thing. Is it still hanging around or what?

Pretty sure it's gone, but it did come back a while ago, along with some other weird glitches.

[He shrugs.]

But that was after at least two years, so even if they are still around, they're probably off hiding somewhere.

...Well, that's better than nothing. At least it's probably not still out there causing trouble if that's the case.

[...Really, he's grateful that at least he's been giving something of a normal life, because he didn't have that before. He's not really sure what to do with himself but overall it's not a bad thing.]

At least nothing like that has happened so far since I arrived. Well, excluding the weird weekend.

Well, the good news is, you won't have to worry about another one of those weekends until November. But I'd be careful around October. Halloweens here usually come with more than costumes and candy.

[Like, oh, nightmare mansions, the aforementioned MISSINGNO. incident, ghost possessions... fun for the whole family!]

[...What's a Halloween.

You know, he's not even going to ask because he gets the feeling that would be a stupid question.]

...I'll keep that in mind.

[...Well, in hindsight, maybe he shouldn't have hit the guy with so much weird stuff. Riku cracks a small, apologetic smile.]

Sorry if I overwhelmed you-- guess that's just a part of being here so long. After a while, I doubt even the craziest stuff will faze you.

[He shrugs. It's a lot to take in, but really, what the guy has been saying is partially business as usual for him.]

So long as there aren't any repeats, I'm sure I'll do fine.

[It's not like anything else has happened since he's arrived. He's not going to let it stop him, that's for certain.]

Careful, or you might jinx it.

[Snickering, Riku shakes his head and waves one of his hands.]

Still, that's a good attitude to have. Sure beats the people I've seen who keep spouting out complaints.

[So Greed gets points for that.]

[He's... way too chill about certain things until they directly effect him.

He'll probably change his mind when October rolls around and he's attacked by ghosts or something.]

I'm not worried.

[He says, even though he actually is a little worried.]
