So here's a question for all of you. What's the furthest you've been from home? Before coming here, I mean. This place doesn't count. I want to know how far people have traveled before coming here.

The name of the place you're from, the name of the place you like going. What your favorite city is called. Things like that.

I've always liked traveling. But I used to spend years in one place, even so. Always found myself drawn back to where I was born. It's one of those interesting things about people. I don't exactly miss the place, but I do find myself thinking about it sometimes. What it would be like if we could go back with memories of this place instead of forgetting everything.

So there's a second part of my question, I guess.

Say you go home, but you remember everything from here. What would you do with that information?

What if you arrived home at a time before the last thing you remember?

i've been to another world!! before this one i mean! does that count? ^_^;

if u mean within my own world umm my family went to okinawa for vacation once!! it was fun but i rly want to go to america!!!!

and hmm idk what i'd do if i went back and knew about this place! probably just tell my friends because they would believe me since we've all been to another world before! but i don't think I've learned stuff here that will help with what i have to do back home or anything?

Of course that counts. You mean a world different from your own, right? I've heard that's possible for certain people. What was the world like?

It'd be nice to bring your Pokemon with you, wouldn't it? I'm not sure what happens to them when a person leaves this place and returns to their own world. Maybe they go to the adoption center. I'm not certain. Being able to take them with you would be a much better option.

well my regular world is... the regular world!! no magical monsters or anything! and the world i went to was called the digital world and that one had monsters called digimon in it!!! kind of like pokemon except they can talk and you can't have more than one bc they're your partner! ^_^

the world had a lot of different places in it!! some of them were really nice and pretty like the castle i lived in and some were just weird and confusing like the beach with a bunch of phone booths or the vending machines that had poop digimon in them!!! also a lot of the time there were digimon attacking us but usually that wasn't their fault bc they were controlled by an evil digimon! so i don't think that is a usual thing that happens but it was for us!! ._.

oh goshhh i do want to go home but i wouldn't want to leave my pokemon behind when i do! they're my friends and i want to introduce them to palmon (my digimon)!!! although maybe if they came back with me then they would have to fight! real fighting i mean where they could die!!!! D: i don't want that!!!!!

[Let's focus on that first. This is a lot to take in and it's confusing. For instance he's not sure what a "digital world" is but he doesn't want to ask.]

Some Pokemon can talk, sort of. They understand speech, at least, and some seem to be able to read. It doesn't surprise me that there's something similar that can talk. Your partner sounds pretty cool!

But fighting for your life is kinda dangerous. I know a couple of kids who do that sort of thing too, though. Actual fighting not like the battles that happen here.

If you got into trouble, you could keep them in their PokeBalls. They can stay safe there and not get injured.

there are pokemon that can read? :o can they write too?? i wonder if maractus can read?? she probably can't write bc she has spikes for hands!

and hehe yeah palmon is super cool!!!! she's probably my best friend!!! ^_^ i wish she was here with me :(

and i know i'm just worried they might want to fight even if i don't want them to!! palmon is like that sometimes :( can pokemon get out of their pokeballs by themselves??

You'll see them pop up on the network from time to time. I don't know if any of mine can read, but it wouldn't surprise me.

The two of them aren't chosen children, no. I don't think so anyway. I'm not familiar with the term. They fight because they have to. I guess you could say they're fighting monsters. They make it out just fine from what I understand.

I don't want to get your hopes up or anything because that would be unkind of me, but sometimes people from our worlds show up here. If she showed up normally, she'd become human and might be hard to recognize at first. But sometimes people will show up during strange events who aren't normally here and vanish as soon as the event ends. I believe it's supposed to happen again in November-- it seems to happen twice a year at any rate.

Maybe you'll see her then.

oh yeah!! i've seen some weird text posts sometimes that didn't really sound like they were being made by normal people. those were pokemon??? cool!!!

chosen children is what i am!! it's someone who was chosen to save the digital world!!! i didn't think your friends were chosen children but i just wanted to make sure because if they were then i would know them!!!! but i'm glad they're doing okay!!

I have a few friends here now. They're very special to me and I'm happy that they're here with me. I've had someone show up who isn't here normally. I don't know if they'll be around again but it was nice seeing them here just the same.

It's not that common of a name. It doesn't really mean anything, though, even if the word is a rather odd choice.

Yeah, I'm traveling with one of them right now. We're both seeing Kanto. It's the other region in this place people have access to.

No, I'm not in Japan. The name is probably a coincidence. You can take a train to it from Goldenrod.

I'm still in... whatever you call this place. I don't know if Johto and Kanto are separate countries or not.

Maybe you'll find a city that reminds you of home? I'm out here to camp along the routes mostly so I wouldn't know, but it's certainly possible.

We're staying in towns when we pass through them. I'm not interested in challenging the gyms, though I plan to hen I get back to Johto.

Mostly I'm enjoying the outdoors while I still can.

yeah it was pretty weird!!!! i think it was some kind of magic snow though!!!!! or i guess maybe technology snow?? considering i think it had to do with the digital world!!! either way it definitely wasn't normal snow!!!! ._.
