009 Things Acquired - [text;]

You know, there's something to be said about this place.

I get here in April and things are strange as a newcomer. It takes some getting used to, but it's not all bad. Then there's May and that's when things get screwy. The weird hail during an otherwise sunny week, and then that weekend when everything went to hell with the crystals and people popping up who aren't normally here. I only wish I could remember more of it clearly.

Then, in June, it snowed that one day. Actually snowed! In the middle of summer! What the hell are the chances of that? It melted the next day naturally so whatever caused it fixed itself.

July gave us a hurricane with sharks flying through the air and then August was suspiciously normal when it comes to weather.

Now, here we are, three days into September, and we've already had dogs and cats falling from the sky like someone up there is taking a metaphor a little too literally.

I'm disappointed we didn't get snakes raining from the sky today. Or porcupines.

I've been here just about five months now and I must admit this place has its ways of keeping a person entertained.

So so far we've had it rain cats and dogs and then goats, right?

What other things do you think we'll see?

Well, no but this isn't like my world back home. I was thinking that perhaps these kind of events happen like a freak weather event from back home. Sometimes during tornadoes, fish end up falling from the sky from the water funnels.

I do know a few things from the people from that world that are here.

Unfortunately most of the details are lost on me. I can't tell you many of the events that happened back there or even all of the differences, though I do know a few here and there.

I think the weather report would have said if there was a tornado. It mentioned the hurricane.

Maybe this is one of those things a person shouldn't over think.

Maybe not but I like to think things over anyway. It's the kind of guy I am. [He's a nerd, Greed. Sorry to say but it's true.]

I'm hoping to be able to catch one of these falling Pokémon to add to my PokeDex and my team.

I just told you they're not in the PokeDex.

I don't know. It seems kind of exciting. It's been a mystery the first three days and I bet it'll be a mystery for however long this lasts.

I want to see more cats. Maybe a couple of lizards and a few things that start out looking cute but then they evolve and become a threat.

Hm. Right. I must have missed that part.

[Damn. How was he supposed to record what types they were now and how would he know what moves they had?]

That's a shame about them not having any data recorded for them. Perhaps, the only way to find out more about them is to catch one and battle with it.

Those goats aren't where I am so I couldn't tell you what you should do. They're in Goldenrod by the looks of things.

At least they're running around and not raining like the dogs and cats.

It's like a surprise party every day, only with more chances of accidental mauling then?

I haven't seen a lot of lizards yet, actually, but I'm still starting out. Fingers crossed your wish comes true.

Yeah, that's true. Thing could get even weirder if the Pokémon started raining from the sky.

I wonder if it has to do with their ears. There were lots of posts about not opening them up, and big flashes of light!

Three times in one year is a bit much, isn't it? Let's hope we've seen the last of that particular weather quirk.

Oh, that's a good point.

I didn't try messing with his ears after everyone else had such bad luck.

Right, that has to be important!

Mauling would be rather unfortunate.

With any luck we'll be able to avoid anything quite like that. I'm sure it'll be interesting regardless.

Maybe they're Psychic types. That might explain the reactions. But I don't know much about them.

No, I don't know much either. But, I can tell what Kitty is feeling and what he's trying to talk about....

[Yeah, he's all there, Greed. He just likes to think about quirky things now and again. He watched too much anime in his past too.]

Yeah, that is a bit much. I would like to see things go back to normal if possible.]

At least what passes for normal around here. From what I've been told things are bound to get odd again in October.

I'll take strange animals appearing from nowhere over the music getting creepy or monsters kidnapping people, frankly.

There was one year that didn't really involve them, if I'm remembering right.

Of course, we just had a complete breakdown of reality into some sort of horrible glitchy mess instead, so I have to say that I think I'd prefer the Ghosts, even though I've caught most varieties of them already...

This places is pretty damn strange. I've heard about the breakdown of reality from someone before. I'll admit I'm glad I haven't experienced anything like that.

Though with my luck we'll be experiencing a complete breakdown of reality now.
