[It's been several months since Greed last posted to the network. He's actually not on camera when the feed turns on, instead a very concerned Feraligatr is holding the 'Gear, setting the camera down carefully on a couch.]

So, I know this is nothing new at this point, but those weird looking hybrids that have been running around? Clearly diseased or something. I'd be holding the gear myself, but, well...

[And as if on cue, Bido twists the camera around so Greed comes into view-- he's transparent in places, looks like his legs have somehow vanished altogether, and with the red splotches on his face, he, well...

This is goddamn creepy.

In any other world, I'd say I cannot believe those poor cats and dogs survive. Our standards for disbelief have fallen.

It was pretty ridiculous.

I'm glad they all bounced like it wasn't a big deal, though maybe the Espurrs were traumatized by it. They tend to look traumatized no matter what, though.

Considering they have psychic powers, it could be that they are always reading our minds and don't like what they see. That'd surely be more traumatizing that a fall.

Maybe evolving helps them get those powers under control. Cole doesn't seem nearly so traumatized now.

With age and practice comes greater control and ability, perhaps. ...Or they become used to it.

I'd hate for it to get worse with evolving.

That'd give them very little to look forward to during their lives. Knowing that they'll someday grow past that trauma must be what keeps them fighting, some days.

It's all we can hope for, isn't it?

I'd say we should hope for much more than that, but it's a good first step for cats with all their problems.
