[For a very long moment, Greed stares blearily at the camera.

He doesn't speak, just wraps a fuzzy blanket around his shoulders and looks like he's fuming.]

You know what I really don't like?

Falling asleep for more than a month and waking up to it snowing.

When the hell is it going to be spring again?!

Greed gives Naki the biggest "I'm sorry" look he can muster.]

I... I dunno, maybe? I guess it would have to be pretty damn alarming for everyone.

I'm sorry, I'm okay now, really.

[Naki, he loves you, but he doesn't know how to deal with all those tears.]

[Does anyone know what to do with the tears...?]

Y-Yeah, yeah, I know.

[LOUD SNIFFLE give him a moment to wipe his eyes... on his sleeve...]

[He really needs to stop doing that. Give him a moment and he'll recover a bit.]

S-So... are you... When are you coming over, huh?

[And as usual, that sounds sort of aggressive.]

[...Please stop crying, Naki. Greed already feels bad enough right now.]

Give me twenty minutes and then I'll come on over.

[If you think Greed is worried at all about ghoul aggression...]

[Oh please, why would he be aggressive in your direction? You're his!]

Okay. The door'll be unlocked, let yourself in.

[...The "thank you" goes unsaid, of course.]

[...Well it's not like it matters that much!! Greed does live up to his name, after all!]

I'll be there as soon as I can.

[And true to his word, about twenty minutes later, Greed will be letting himself into Naki's house. Hopefully he doesn't get tackled by squids. Or Naki.]

[Well, you won't be tackled by squids, but boy are there a lot of them waiting to greet Greed. The Malamars try to shoo them away, but it's kind of hard to keep a bunch of dumb baby squids away from what they want.

...At least until Naki shows up.]

Alright you fucking assholes, back off!

[The squids chirp a bit and there's probably some psychic communication going on given Naki's irritated expressions at a few of the squids in particular, but eventually they all scurry off.]

Fuck, sorry about that. I told them to stay in their room... But you know how they are. They love you almost as much as I do!

[And with that, Naki moves in to latch onto Greed.]

[...Come on, Greed likes the dumb baby squids. He's going to pet a few of them, until Naki shows up at least.]

Well, can you blame them? They've gone an entire month without seeing me.

[He's just going to pull Naki into an embrace, of course, resting his chin on Naki's shoulder.]

Yeah, yeah, they suffer so much...

[Naki's trying not to laugh though and he just sort of... nuzzles against Greed. It's weird and possessive as hell, but this is Naki we're talking about so that's probably not surprising.]

...I missed you. I mean, I figured someone would've said something if-- But you're alright and...

[SNIFFLE]

[At least he's used to the weird nuzzling.

It's still strange, but not being human himself means that Greed can't really think anything too odd of it.]

I'm sorry for worrying you.

[deaftly]

...Wasn't your fault.

[Naki's content staying like that for a moment before something occurs to him and he pulls back, looking up at Greed with a nearly panicked expression.]

Wait, shit, shit-- If you did the coma-thing, that means you remembered stuff from home, right? Are you alright? What happened?

[Dammit, Naki!]

I don't... I don't remember anything. I don't think that happened. It was... really, from what I remember when it wasn't just nothing, or hearing stuff going around the house, it was just dreaming the weirdest dreams possible.

[deaftly]

...So you just passed out for a fucking month? I'm pretty sure humans aren't supposed to do that.

[Or ghouls, for that matter. Naki looks really confused, but at least he's not panicking anymore.]

Was it like, nightmares and shit? Or just... weird dreams?

I'm not even sure how I'm okay.... I guess this place just doesn't want us to get hurt.

[Don't mind him running his hand through Naki's hair.]

Just weird dreams. I don't remember most of it. It wasn't anything bad, I don't think.

[....he has some pretty unique nightmares; he's fairly sure he'd remember them.]

[He'll lean into that immediately, of course.]

...Well, at least it wasn't bad. Or if it was, you don't remember it.

I'm just glad you're still here and you're okay and everything.

[Good, he'd better. Greed likes being able to hold Naki, after all.]

It's about all I can wish for, I suppose.

It's not all bad, anyway. Now I probably won't need to sleep again for a week, so I'll get to spend plenty of time around you.

[He's going to be spending as much of Christmas as possible around Naki, of course.]

Well it's a good thing you woke up now. What if you'd slept through fucking Christmas?

[He says, like this is the worst possible thing that could happen.]
