006 Things Acquired - [video;]

[Oh, look. It's Greed on video. This is something of a rarity.

He's obviously outside and on one of the routes at the moment, looking annoyed more than anything else.]

You know, I thought I had this place reasonably figured out. Got a decent grasp on battling, don't really mind living out of a hotel room, and since it's summer, traveling between cities is actually not that bad.

That being said, what the hell is this?

[The camera shifts off of Greed and onto a bug-type that looks like a wheel.]

Cedric used to be a beetle. Why--

What the hell is he supposed to be? Can he even battle like this?!

How the hell does a beetle even change shape to begin with! It's the final stage of a metamorphosis so why the hell did he go and turn into that thing?

[And since he's facing the camera, he completely misses the Whirlipede rolling its eyes at him.]

Always good to know.

Since we've already had one strange thing happen this summer, that may mean we're out of the clear.

There was that weird bit of weather last week, but it seems to be over with now.

Ah, there's always periodic quirks of the weather like that, really.

Really? Guess it really was nothing, then.

Well. No sense in worrying about it.

[Because it's easier to pretend it doesn't bother him at all!]

It's rather obnoxious, really, but I don't think there's anything that can be done about it...

At least it was just one day of snow.

In combination with the rest of the week, it did make things weird but at least nothing hellish was unleashed on Monday.

Exactly. Compared to some of the other things that have happened from time to time, it's relatively minor.

At least weird things aren't an everyday occurrence. If they were, people would get jaded over it and always get frustrated at newcomers.

[Greed do you really want to be in a place where weird things are constantly happening?]

This place is a lot quieter than I'm used to, I've got to admit.

Is it? I suppose that's one advantage, in that case.

I suppose it is. Personally, I'd prefer a little more excitement around this place but there's not much I can do about it.

[Because Greed's idea of fun is very obvious and he'd really rather not get thrown in jail.

He'll stick with being a little antsy and bored over arrested.]

I'm sure sooner or later something will happen that you'll find exciting enough.

Personally, I'm not going to wait around for shit to happen. Not much point to it.
