006 Things Acquired - [video;]
[Oh, look. It's Greed on video. This is something of a rarity.
He's obviously outside and on one of the routes at the moment, looking annoyed more than anything else.]
You know, I thought I had this place reasonably figured out. Got a decent grasp on battling, don't really mind living out of a hotel room, and since it's summer, traveling between cities is actually not that bad.
That being said, what the hell is this?
[The camera shifts off of Greed and onto a bug-type that looks like a wheel.]
Cedric used to be a beetle. Why--
What the hell is he supposed to be? Can he even battle like this?!
How the hell does a beetle even change shape to begin with! It's the final stage of a metamorphosis so why the hell did he go and turn into that thing?
[And since he's facing the camera, he completely misses the Whirlipede rolling its eyes at him.]

The final evolution only happens when you give it to someone else. I find that incredibly interesting.
[That's... not the only reason. But it's not like he has to tell everyone everything!]

But I like my team. I might not be able to take the gyms with them, but it's no problem.
I'd have to go back to Violet, though, and that's a little boring. Maybe next mont I'll give it a try.
I've spent most of my time in Goldenrod. I probably could look up information about the other cities, I guess. But that's not nearly as interesting as finding out for oneself.
There's also a traditional dance theater, but... I suppose if you're fond of Goldenrod, it might not be quite the thing you're looking for. It's a very beautiful city, though --- I've been finding it hard to leave.
I'm sure I'll be in the area at some point. You'll have to tell me more about it when I'm in town.
I'll be traveling soon enough, I'm sure.
Unless another freak snowstorm hits.
Are there just the two regions?
Only two that we have access to. There are far more than that, including some I barely know anything about.
Well, that's something.
I suppose not everything in this world can be connected by train. How did you learn about the other regions if they're not accessible?
Mostly books, honestly. There have been visitors from other regions at certain events, though --- that's the only way I learned about one of them.
That you know about?
...actually, what was this event where you learned about the one?
Unova, by contrast, is rather far away, and Kalos is... well, I don't even know. It seems to have come out of nowhere, really... the locals have hosted a gala in April at a secret location the past two years, and we were lucky enough to encounter some guests hailing from there.
Odd that you would just suddenly become aware of an entirely different region, though.
[Maybe it's like being told about a country that supposedly exists in his world-- or at least exists in the world with the other version of Amestris. Xing or something? It's probably like that.]
Ah... who knows. It's not like this place is consistent with anything it does.
But... yes. Information is extremely inconsistent, and I only really consider my information on it reliable because I don't really think the natives are quite far gone enough to lie about being from a fictional region.
[....]
Well, I guess that can happen, if a region or a country is in the middle of a conflict of some sort. A country could be split apart or something. But here? They look at you funny if you have a table knife.
