[Oh, look. It's Greed on video. This is something of a rarity.

He's obviously outside and on one of the routes at the moment, looking annoyed more than anything else.]

You know, I thought I had this place reasonably figured out. Got a decent grasp on battling, don't really mind living out of a hotel room, and since it's summer, traveling between cities is actually not that bad.

That being said, what the hell is this?

[The camera shifts off of Greed and onto a bug-type that looks like a wheel.]

Cedric used to be a beetle. Why--

What the hell is he supposed to be? Can he even battle like this?!

How the hell does a beetle even change shape to begin with! It's the final stage of a metamorphosis so why the hell did he go and turn into that thing?

[And since he's facing the camera, he completely misses the Whirlipede rolling its eyes at him.]

I don't know. Sorry, I didn't mean to judge your character or anything, it's just....most people here like battling with their Pokémon. What do you like doing with your Pokémon, if battling isn't your thing?

Usually I'm working in the city.

[This is an absolute disaster waiting to happen but he hasn't been set off yet, and he's been working in the department store since May so he's done all right so far.]

No, it doesn't matter. I was just curious, as to what you like doing with your Pokémon. [Otacon shrugged. He wasn't trying to get into this guy's personal space or anything.]

What sort of job do you do?

I just like having them around.

[Which is honestly all there is to it. He's a pretty simple guy about certain things.]

Ah, I work at the department store here in Goldenrod.

[Mostly at the hair salon flirting with NPCs.]

That's ok. Pokémon make really good friends. [He often wondered what he would do without his Pokémon, now that he was living within Johto.]

What's it like working in a department store?

Yeah. Guess they do.

[He shrugs. At least he looks less touchy now. He's actually smiling, though it's more of a self-satisfied sort.]

Gets old after a while. These days I'm usually working at the salon.

[Somehow managing not to horribly butcher the hair styles of the hapless NPCs who show up.]

Are you a stylist then? [Otacon didn't really picture this guy to be cutting people's hair or designing clothes. But, he was wrong, right?]

What's it like being a stylist in Johto?

Not really.

[At.... least he's honest.]

But I think I'm pretty good at it.

[If he's cutting a woman's hair. God help you if you're a man.]

It passes the time. Not much else to say, really. You get to meet the locals this way, too.

I bet you get to meet lots of people working at the store. Does it pay well? [Because money is important whilst working, right?]

[Well, the locals are actually pretty strange, but he still gets paid and he's generally well liked since he's not a destructive asshole.

On that question, though, his name is Greed, but he's actually been here long enough that rambling about how much he loves money isn't something he's going to do.

It pays well enough.

[He doesn't exactly have to worry about funds, though he isn't rich by any means.]
