004 Things Aquired - [action; FOURTH WALL]
[He's suddenly, horrifyingly aware that something is terribly wrong with his body.
What... what's going on? He breathes in through his nose, and he can tell immediately that he doesn't need to breathe in air by the way his chest doesn't quite give in a natural way.
Has he... has he gone back to being a Homunculus proper?
Dammit, he had been so close to being happy here. So close to finding humanity normal, and now he's back to square one.
Greed rushes to the peer, watching the ocean with a mix of forlornness and anger. And then he jumps off the edge, like anypsychology unstable normal person might do when they want to test something out.
He doesn't let himself sink far. He's aware almost immediately that he still doesn't need to breathe, even under the waves. There's only the stillness of the water and his own anxiety for maybe two minutes before instinct that he must have learned from newfound (newly lost?) humanity kicks in and he quickly resurfaces, climbing back onto the flooring, his legs dangling off the edge of the pier.
Greed doesn't try to test his Ultimate Shield. He's not sure he wants to.
Maybe he should get inside before someone notices him dripping wet (and the fact that his hair is far too perfect for someone who just jumped into the ocean) but he's too morbidly fascinated with his own lack of a heartbeat.]
((ooc: general catch-all fourth wall post. Feel free to set your thread after Greed stops being an idiot if you'd like.))

Is there a reason you decided to go for a swim, or should I just not ask?
[Greed did u finally snap]
no subject
It's nothing.
no subject
Right. Absolutely nothing.
[Judging you so hard, Greed. But he'll leave it at that for now, because there's more important things going on.]
You've got your powers back now, right?
no subject
[He nods, suddenly going from the pity party to testing out the Ultimate Shield on his left hand. It crawls up his arm before retracting because he's not in the mood to terrorize random townsfolk. At least not yet.]
I do.

The reason he's actually here? You look like someone from his memories he just got back. Well, actually, you look like Greed himself from his memories.
Hey I just met you
and this is crazy
but we might be the same person
so let's talk, maybe.
Though he's not sure if he wants to know after an odd stunt like that.]
no subject
[Greed looks sheepish as hell because that stunt was completely insane and he knows it. Good job, Greed. Good fucking job.]

[It's been a while since Kimbley has seen Greed, and a few things have changed since then - namely, pretty much everybody relevant to their situation died. But you know what, sometimes life just kind of sucks like that, and as far as Kimbley goes a good time was had and that's all that matters.
But really, if the way he's addressing him is any indication, as far as Kimbley is concerned nothing has changed at all. He's got his hands shoved deep into his pockets; sure, the clothes have changed - that burgundy monstrosity of a suit is gone, replaced by an ill-fitting Amestrian military uniform that's hanging open in the front rather than done up at the collar - but the almost too-easy tone behind his words hasn't, nor has the smirk playing across his features.
He's a short ways down the pier, well out of reaching distance; the last thing he needs is to be shoved in, since he doesn't swim for shit and drowning isn't on his agenda today. But here he is, and here you are, and...well, let's see where this goes, shall we?]
I was wondering if you'd make your way here eventually.
no subject
If he's here, then things are definitely going to get interesting.
Don't mind as Greed closes the distance, though he's at least making a concerted effort not to raise his shield on his hand in a threatening gesture.]
You stab me in the back and can't even wear a uniform that fits after you've done it? I'm disappointed, Kimbley.
[Okay apparently we're going with banter today.]
no subject
As it stands Kimbley just shrugs, and he tips his head back a little as though to make sure he's not going to trip over something stupid, and while he's more than willing to return the banter he's also more than content to keep his distance for the time being.]
Hey, if that's what you're mad about, I must be doing something right.

[Still, seeing the bloke running out into the surf like that: that's not healthy behaviour. France meanders out onto the peer until he's a few paces behind Greed, his demeanour deliberately non-threatening but still communicating he recognises Greed. He clears his throat.]
I never took you for a swimmer when I met you a few years ago.
no subject
How awkward. Still, Greed raises a brow before shrugging.]
I'm not much of one, to be honest.
Can't say I remember you, though. I hear that happens sometimes to the people who come and go.
Sorry this reply took so long!
This place appears to be built like it has a door that swings both ways, except one way includes a memory wipe like something out of science fiction.
[He smiles, a little lopsided although his eyes soften in fondness more than anything else.]
We were involved for a time while you were here. Along with Envy. In this, I was the door. Sans memory wipe and science fiction, of course.
no problem!

He's panicking. What can he do? He doesn't know how to swim... He's never seen a body of water so huge in his life!
Then, after far too long, the man surfaces. And it nearly gives the boy a heart attack.]
Are you all right? [Whoops, his voice cracked.]
no subject
And he's scared a kid. Apparently that's a thing he does here.]
Practicing diving.
[Well... sort of.]
no subject
Nobody dives for that long...

... Well, this one doesn't seem to be smart. Then again neither does Gluttony, but that giant eater's still pretty tough to kill.
So, Greed, there is one person in black clothes and a white/red mask on their face standing somewhere not too far behind you. Arms crossed, not really looking like a
bigthreat ... not yet.]Who the hell are you? [Apparently she's not in the mood for being polite and that voice probably sounds like a girl.]
no subject
But he also doesn't look particularly threatened at the moment, though he also doesn't really have a reason to be.]
Name's Greed.

You can't be, he doesn't look like you. [Not where she comes from anyway!]

Sorry, +1 violent girl attack to you | 1/2 a+ for freaking her out
Why isn't he coming back up? Should she go after him? What if he hit his head and is now unconscious somewhere deep in the water??!!
Or maybe there's a giant human-eating thing that... Goodbye in that case, Greed, she wouldn't be able to help you away from something like that. Or well, it would probably be too late to try helping in that case.]
... 2/2
But she's not that happy to be freaked out like that, so ... Greed, you might want to watch out for a wrench flying your way.]
no subject
...of course, it also helps if he's actually expecting to be attacked. The wrench hits him square in the face before he even has time to raise it.

It's been a long time since something connected and did real damage.]

[Oh, also guess which Amestrian here has absolutely no idea about the Homunculi? Did you guess Isaac? Because you really should have!!]
Oh Isaac
...Next time he does something reckless, he's doing when he's sure no one is around.]
I'm fine.
[Which he really shouldn't be considering he was under water for two minutes but you know.]
I was testing something out. Don't worry about it.
no subject
[The longest amount of time a person can stay under water is like, four minutes, right? That's pretty crazy.
